On June 3 - 4, a government delegation which includes decision makers from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) will participate in the meeting of the R. Moldova – EU sub-committee no.4 „Energy, Environment, Transport and Telecommunications, Science and Technology, Training and Education”. The meeting – the eighth – will be held at the residence of the European Commission in Brussels.
The Agency delegation, headed by the Director Sergiu Sitnic, will present the latest developments in electronic communications market regulation and harmonization of the national regulatory framework with the EU acquis. The presentation will be made in a meeting, where the recent progress in policies and regulation of communications in the R. Moldova and the EU countries will be reviewed.
The Cooperation Sub-committee no. 4 Moldova - European Union was created to coordinate sectoral policies and regulations, to promote projects to harmonize the national legislation with the EU acquis. It was through this sub-committee that ANRCETI won, in 2009, the technical assistance project „Communications regulatory development”, provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This project began in October 2009 and will end in October 2011.
