Last week, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), organized a seminar for providers of electronic communications networks/service: "Consistent Implementation of Regulatory Documents - a prerequisite for success in starting and developing a business in electronic communications". This was the first seminar of a series of such events that the regulator intends to hold this year in order to improve dialogue with the providers.
The seminar was attended by over 40 people - representatives of 34 operators of electronic communications networks and services, most of whom are new "players" on the market. Ion Pochin, ANRCETI Deputy Director opening the seminar, said that by organizing round table meetings, the Agency wants to raise the providers’ awareness of new regulatory acts, to better know their concerns and to provide the necessary help to address the problems.
Three subjects were discussed at the seminar, moderated by Victor Muradu, Head of Authorization and Control Division of ANRCETI:
1) the new requirements for reporting statistical data to ANRCETI;
2) implementation of the regulations on measuring, reporting and publication of service quality parameters for public electronic communications services;
3) measures to protect the end-user rights.
The mentioned subjects were presented by the representatives of the Economic and Regulatory Analysis divisions, Technical Regulations and Standardization Division and the Legal Service of ANRCETI. After each presentation, ANRCETI specialists provided answers to questions from attendees.
The attendees were satisfied with the results of the seminar, noting the usefulness of the presented information and expressed their support for the ANRCETI’s practice of further organizing such seminars.
It was also agreed that ANRCETI would develop the Agenda for the next seminar, taking into account the proposals which the attending providers forwarded in the questionnaires, filled out during the first seminar.
