The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md) established, through a Decision (doc. in state language), the amount of the regulatory and monitoring fee for 2013, as 0,27% of the revenue generated from electronic communications activities performed by electronic communications networks/service providers.
The amount established by the Board is valid for the revenues that providers will obtain during the 2013 financial year. The regulatory and monitoring fee, calculated according to the established quantum shall be paid by providers starting with January 1, 2013.
The Board adopted the Decision pursuant to the Law on Electronic Communications, which provides that ANRCETI is empowered to establish the quantum of regulatory and monitoring fees for the following year, in an amount sufficient to cover the expenses necessary to perform its activity. According to the law, these amounts are established based on estimations of the volume of activities in electronic communications, up to 0,3% of the estimated revenue volume.
The providers pay the fees according the Instruction (doc. in state language) on Regulatory and Monitoring Fee, approved by ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision no. 17, of 02.06.2010.
According to ANRCETI estimations the newly-established quantum of the regulatory and monitoring fee will be sufficient to ensure the financial independence of the institution and to cover the expenses necessary for ANRCETI to exercise its powers, as provided by the legislation in force.
In 2011, the quantum of the regulatory and monitoring fee is 0,26% of the volume of revenue from activities in electronic communications, performed by authorized providers.
