The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announces public consultation on the draft Decision regarding the limitation of the number of licenses for the use of radio frequencies in 700 MHz, E900 MHz, 1500 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2600 MHz, 3600 MHz, and 26 GHz bands, for the provision of publicly available terrestrial mobile/fixed electronic communications networks and services.
The public consultation will last through March 11, 2024, which is the deadline for submitting recommendations on the mentioned draft.
According to the Informative Note, the purpose of this decision is to promote efficient management of radio spectrum resources to ensure the availability of sufficient spectrum for the continuous development of broadband terrestrial mobile/fixed electronic communications networks and services, implementation of new generation technologies and services, as well as to avoid harmful radio frequency interference, ensure competition, and maximize benefits for users.
The frequency bands, for which it is proposed to limit the number of licenses, are established in the Spectrum Management Program for 2021-2025 and the minimum exposure values of generic frequency blocks for allocation through the competitive selection procedure, approved by Government Decision No. 987/2020.
Stakeholders can submit comments and recommendations on the draft document under public consultation in written form, by mail to the ANRCETI address: 134, Stefan cel Mare Blvd., MD-2012, Chisinau, by fax: 022222885, or by email to: office@anrceti.md.
