The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) published on its official website www.anrceti.md, for public consultation, three draft decisions to modify the regulatory framework pertaining to numbering resources:
1. Draft amendment of the Procedure of Administration of Telephone Numbering Resources, approved by the ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision no. 58/2010;
2. Draft amendment to General License Conditions for the use of numbering resources for in the provision of public electronic communications networks and publicly available electronic communications services, approved by ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision no. 38/2008;
3. Draft amendment to ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision no. 59/2010 setting tariffs for numbering resources.
The consultation will last through 06.03.2023, which is the deadline for submitting recommendations on the proposed documents.
The need to prepare these documents mainly stemmed from the changes made to the National Numbering Plan, approved in a new version, by Order no. 05/2023 of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, by the evolution of electronic communications technologies, but also from the requests of electronic communications providers to be given the opportunity and the right to provide M2M communications and to integrate into the global market of these services.
According to the National Numbering Plan, numbering resources from the range "4" that are intended for M2M (Machine to machine) and IoT (Internet of Things) services for use at national and international level have been opened for assignment.
Following the approval of the mentioned documents, changes will also be made related to the way of submitting reports on the use of numbering resources. The reports will be accepted in electronic format, meeting the due requirements for an electronic document.
Details about the documents subject to public consultation can be viewed in the Information Notes to these documents (no. 1, no. 2, no. 3).
Interested stakeholders are invited to submit comments and recommendations on the consulted documents, in writing, by mail to the ANRCETI address: 134, Stefan cel Mare bld., MD-2012, Chisinau municipality, by fax: 022 222 885 or by e-mail at: office@anrceti.md.
