National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANCETI) announces a public meeting for March 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM, to examine the draft Decision on approval of rates for postal services within the Universal Postal Service (UPS).

The draft Decision was subject to public consultation from February 13 to March 5, 2024, during which ANRCETI received no comments or recommendations.

This draft document was developed in accordance with the Law Postal Communications no. 36/2016, which stipulates that ANRCETI approves the rates for postal services within the UPS, in a transparent and public manner.

The Informative Note to the document states that the analysis of the reports on cost, revenue, and employed capital for 2022 shows that the revenues generated by "Posta Moldovei" State Enterprise do not cover the expenses incurred for providing services within the UPS.

To ensure the coverage of costs generated by the provision of services within the UPS, as well as its efficient activity, "Posta Moldovei" State Enterprise presented for ANRCETI’s examination and approval the draft proposal for rate modification for services within the UPS sphere.

The rates were calculated based on the Methodology for Rate Determination for services within the UPS sphere, approved by ANRCETI Decision no. 25/2016, based on the costs, revenues, and employed capital for 2022.
