On June 1-2, the Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), Sergiu Gaibu, took part in a regional event ”Enhancing 5G Network Security in Europe: Regional Workshop on Secure 5G Deployment and Supplier Diversity”, in Warsaw, Poland. The event was attended by government officials, regulatory authorities, telecommunications experts, as well as representatives from the private sector.

On May 31, 2023, the mobile network providers in the Republic of Moldova—Moldcell, Orange Moldova, and Moldtelecom — signed the Declaration on Mutual Reduction of Roaming Rates with major operator groups from the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA)—Orange Group, Deutsche Telekom, and Telefonica Group.
