ANRCETI alerts providers of publicly available electronic communications services that, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on the Organization and Conduct of Gambling No. 291 of December 16, 2016 (Law No. 291/2016), the Public Services Agency has updated the list of websites/platforms/applications prohibited on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) announces public consultations on the following draft Administrative Board Decisions:
- draft decision on limitation of the number of licenses for the use of radio frequencies/channels in the [2100 MHz] frequency band for the provision of terrestrial mobile cellular electronic communications networks and services, including Explanatory Note no. 1.

On October 24, the Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) had an online bilateral meeting with the representatives of the Authority for Communications Guarantees (AGCOM) from Italy. The discussion was focused on the provisions of the voluntary Declaration on reducing roaming charges between mobile operators from the Republic of Moldova and operators from the European Union (EU) countries. This declaration was signed between the three mobile providers from the Republic of Moldova (Orange Moldova, Moldcell, and Moldtelecom) and the operator groups Orange Group, Deutsche Telecom, Telefonica Group, and Melita.

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) informs providers of publicly available electronic communications networks and services that the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) established, by Order No. 72 of October 24, 2023, the list of online sources that are promoting distortion of publicly disseminated content, originated from public authorities of the country involved in a military conflict and recognized as an aggressor.

A delegation from the Republic of Moldova took part in the 7th edition of the annual 5G Techritory Forum 2023, held in Riga, Latvia, on October 18- to 19. The delegation included Sergiu Gaibu, ANRCETI Director, Silvia Bojoga, ANRCETI Deputy Director, Anatolie Golovco, Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, and Alexandru Corețchi, Director of the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Service.

On October 18, 2023, during their visit to Riga, Latvia, to attend the 5G Techritory Forum 2023 the leadership of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) had a bilateral meeting with the representatives of BEREC Office (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications). The meeting was also attended by a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Latvia, led by Andrian Roșa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Latvia.

On September 28 – 29, the Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) Sergiu Gaibu, is taking part in the Regional Regulatory Forum for Europe 2023, organized by the ITU Office for Europe and the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP), held in Budva, Montenegro. The theme of this year's forum is "Universal Connectivity in Europe: Current Status and Future Prospects." The event brings together representatives of European electronic communications regulatory authorities, ministries, industry, academia, development banks, and more.

Mobile operators from Moldova, the European Union (EU), and the European Economic Area (EEA), signatories of the Joint Declaration on reducing roaming charges, have agreed on maximum price caps for retail prices for data and roaming calls, reaffirming their commitments during the signing ceremony held today, September 22, with the participation of BEREC (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications), ANRCETI (National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology), representatives of the Government, and the European Commission. Thus, one more important step has been taken towards ensuring lower roaming charges between the Republic of Moldova and EU/EEA countries. BEREC and ANRCETI coordinated the negotiation process, ensuring the successful completion of this stage.

On August 8, 2023, the Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) approved three decisions for the implementation of Law 77/2023, which amends the Postal Communications Law No. 36/2016. One of the aspects addressed by this action involves the transposition of the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2018/644 of the European Parliament and Council of April 18, 2018, as regards cross-border parcel delivery services.
