29.05.2014"Eventis Mobile" case: supreme court of appeal issued ruling favorable for ANRCETI On May 28, 2014, The Supreme Court of Justice issued a ruling on inadmissibility of the appeals filed by JV "Eventis Mobile" LLC and "Iulerom" LLC against the ruling of the Court of Appeal (December 17, 2013), by which the Court maintained the judgment of Ciocana Court (09.09.2013), which confirmed the legality and validity of the actions taken by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) related to withdrawal of the license of JV "Eventis Mobile" LLC for the provision of mobile GSM cell services. 28.05.2014ANRCETI assigned national short number 116111 for children helpline to JSC “Moldtelecom” The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) assigned the short national number 116111, children helpline, to JSC „Moldtelecom”, upon the company’s request. The number was assigned for the timeframe June 1, 2014 – December 31, 2016 and the service will be launched on June 1, 2016. This number is the first of the three short national numbers of social value harmonized across EU (116000, 116111 and 116123), which ANRCETI previously made available for assignment. Details |
26.05.2014ANRCETI published quality parameters measured by electronic communications services in first qr of 2014 The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) published today, on its official website www.anrceti.md, information on quality parameters (page in state language) for electronic communications services, measured by providers in the first quarter of 2014. This information was submitted to ANRCETI by the 101 active electronic communications service providers, of which 22 also made these data available on their Web pages. Details |
21.05.2014ANRCETI recommend providers take action against attempts to cheat mobile users The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) issued a notification for mobile providers, recommending that measures need to be taken to protect users against attempts to be cheated by swindlers via mobile phone. The recommendation came after the regulator found, according to the information offered by providers, that in April and May there was a significant increase in the number of complaints from users claiming that they were cheated and deprived of money or minutes from their mobile accounts, after they responded to requests to call unknown international numbers, received by SMS from unknown individuals. 20.05.2014ANRCETI representatives taking part in a regional ITU forum on issues related to shared use of telecommunications infrastructure On May 20 to 23, a team of specialists from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), headed by its Director, Grigore Varanita, took part in the Regional Forum for CIS and Europe on shared use of infrastructure as a tool to promote broadband network development, held in Chisinau. The forum was organized by the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), jointly with the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (MTIC) of Moldova.
