ANRCETI starts public consultations on three draft Administrative Board decisions

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) has placed on its Internet page, for public consultations, three draft Administrative Board Decisions on imposing special ex-ante obligations to joint-stock companies “Orange Moldova”, „Moldcell”, „Moldtelecom” (docs in state language) given the significant market power of these companies on the market of call termination in their own mobile networks. The consultation will last for 20 calendar days. Recommendations on the document are welcome till the deadline – March 29, 2010.

Public consultations on a new draft decision on cost calculation for interconnection services

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI – www.anrceti.md) has placed on its Internet page, for public consultations, the draft (doc. in state language) Administrative Board Decision on establishing the methodological principles for the development of cost calculation for interconnection services. The consultation will last until March 22, 2010, this date being the deadline for recommendations on the draft decision.

Sales on fixed telephony market dropped, in 2009, by 12,7%

2009 is the second year when the sales on the fixed market dropped, the total being 1 billion 927 million lei, which is a 12,7% decrease compared to 2008. In 2008, this indicator dropped by 5,8%, compared to 2007. This data are provided by a Report of the National regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) regarding the development of this market in 2009.

Internet access market growing 34,7% in 2009

In 2009, the value of the market of Internet access services at fixed locations grew by 34,7% over 2008, the total value being 436,4 mil. lei. This is the highest turnover registered in the recent five years by data service providers, as shown in a report on the developments on this market by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).

In 2009 sales on mobile market exceeded 3,03 billion lei

A report of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on market development shows that in 2009 the total volume of mobile market sales constituted 3 billion 33,6 million lei, which is 4% increase, compared to 2008. However, according to document, the mobile penetration rate in 2009 was the lowest in the recent five years.
