ANRCETI has established co-operation relations with electronic communications regulators abroad and intends to officialize these relations by signing bilateral co-operation agreements with counterparts.
Thus, in June 2011, ANRCETI and the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) from Romania signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate cooperation and exchange of information in electronic communications (Romanian version).
The main objective of the Memorandum is to establish the necessary cooperation and information exchange between the two parties in the field of regulation and surveillance of electronic communications, conduct joint actions and exchange of expertise in order to promote competition and the legitimate interests of end users, in agreement with the EU and with the international best practices.
The document sets out the objectives, methods and instruments of cooperation between the parties, such as setting up teams of experts, organization of expert consultations and mutual exchange of information and professional documentation, resulting from the parties’ activity in the field of electronic communications regulation. It also provides for annual meetings of the parties to be summoned in order to review steps forward and to discuss ways to enhance the collaboration.
Previously, in November 2006, ANRCETI signed a bilateral agreement for collaboration and exchange of experience in electronic communications with the Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) of Bulgaria. The agreement provides for the exchange of documents and information aimed at the development and implementation of policies and strategies for sector development, laws and regulations, as well as market evolution both countries.
ANRCETI also intends to sign agreements with other regulators from EU Member States.
