National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

Starting today, June 17, a group of ANRCETI specialists are taking part in a three-day TAIEX Workshop, hosted in Chisinau. The event covers issues related to regulation of the use of numbering resources and harmonization of certain aspects of regulations applicable in the Republic of Moldova with EU requirements. The workshop is delivered by an expert from Belgium regulatory authority and funded by the EC.

According to the Agenda, the workshop participants will discuss issues related to the administration of the National Numbering Plan, monitoring the use of numbering resources and setting fees for the use of such resources. The participants will also examine the recent recommendations of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) on numbering, as well as the best practices across Europe for the use of these resources and the future of numbering.

This is the second workshop delivered to ANRCETI this year under TAIEX technical assistance, funded by the European Commission. By the end of this year, three more TAIEX Workshops are expected to take place at ANRCETI, with the focus on current regulatory challenges.

TAIEX is a technical assistance tool devised to help transpose and implement EU legislation in the beneficiary states. TAIEX provides technical training and counseling of specialists in beneficiary countries through the assistance of counterpart experts from EU states.
