National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The Administrative Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) established, through a Decision (doc. in state language), the amount of the regulatory and monitoring fee for 2014, as 0,3% of the volume of revenue generated from electronic communications activities performed by electronic communications networks/services providers. The Decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova on October 25, 2013.

Pursuant to the Law on Electronic Communications, on yearly basis, before November 1^st, ANRCETI is required to publish in the Official Gazette the quantum of regulatory and monitoring fees for the following year. The established quantum is applicable to the revenues obtained by providers in 2014 financial year. Providers are required to make the payments in accordance with the Instruction (doc. in state language) on regulatory and monitoring fees, approved by ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision no.17 of 02.06.2010.

The board approved this decision based on Art. 12 of the Law on Electronic Communications, which provides that ANRCETI establish the amount of regulatory and monitoring fees for the next year so that it is sufficient to offer sustainability for its activity. According to the law, these amounts are established based on estimations of the volume of activities in electronic communications, up to 0,3% of the estimated revenue volume.

In accordance with ANRCETI estimations, the amount of regulatory and monitoring fees established for 2014 - 0,3% will be sufficient to ensure the financial autonomy of the institution and to cover the expenses necessary for performing its functions, as provided by law.
