ANRCETI – TURNS 12 YEARS OLD

On August 17, 2012, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) rounded 12 years since it was created. In 2000, ANRCETI was one of the first electronic communications regulators created in the CIS region, whereas in 2011 it was entrusted with the mission of being the Coordinator for the creation of the Eastern Partnership Electronic Communications Regulators Network, which confirms the increasing visibility of ANRCETI at regional level, as well as appreciation of its activity by the regulatory authorities from other European countries.

On the occasion, the Administrative Board is extending a congratulatory message to ANRCETI staff, partners, and those who have worked and continue to contribute to ANRCETI’s proper operation.

Dear colleagues,

The anniversary of ANRCETI’s foundation is an opportunity to address heartfelt congratulations, our gratitude and high respect for your selfless work and contribution to the promotion of the regulatory framework in electronic communications and for the development of this important national economy sector.

The measures taken in the past two years by ANRCETI for the preventive regulation of electronic communications markets, the implementation of telephone number portability, the transition to the „closed” type of dialing fixed telephone numbers substantially contributed to the promotion of fair competition, to ensuring equal conditions for market players to develop their business and to the protection of legitimate rights and interests of end-users.

The technologies in this sector are changing more rapidly than in any other national economy sector, a fact which places great demands on ANRCETI. We trust that through efficient cooperation, mutual support, practical application of your experience and professionalism, we will be able to meet these requirements and to ensure the functionality of electronic communications markets, under competitive conditions for the benefit of end-users.

On this occasion, dear colleagues, we wish you to be healthy, to prosper and achieve success in your work for the benefit of our fellow citizens.

ANRCETI Administrative Board
