ANRCETI is an institution of European nature, seeking to efficiently co-operate with both European Community, sectorial authorities and international ones. The active cooperation between ANRCETI and the said authorities conditions a faster development of the electronic communications and information technology sector and the information society in the Republic of Moldova.
For the purpose of maintaining efficient international co-operation ANRCETI is present in different initiatives and projects within both international sectorial authorities and regional and bilateral cooperation with other states.
The Agency’s representatives take part in forums hosted by international sectorial organizations to which the Republic of Moldova is a party: International Telecommunications (UIT), European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), plenary and working reunions of Association of Francophone Regulators (FRATEL) and Regional Communications Community (RCC) within CIS.
The main annual event of the regulators, organized by the ITU, and attended by ANRCETI id the Global Symposium of Regulators (GSR), which has become an international community of regulators from developed countries and developing countries, where they exchange opinions and experience, present and discuss the best practices applied in electronic communications regulation. The GSR 2008 participants discussed and debated on issues pertaining to its main theme “Six Degrees of Sharing: Innovative Infrastructure Sharing and Open Access Strategies to Promote Affordable Access for All".
ANRCETI also takes an active part in negotiations with European Commission experts within Moldova – EU cooperation sub-committees, which fact plays an important role for assessing the process of harmonization of the regulatory framework applied in the Republic of Moldova with European standards.
ANRCETI has established co-operation relationships with regulators from EU member states (Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania, Austria), from CIS countries (Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine). Those relationships are focused on exchange of experience and information pertaining to the regulation of the electronic communications sector.
The aforementioned activities are coordinated and monitored by ANRCETI International Relations and European Integration Service.
