National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Moldova

The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) is announcing for Tuesday, June 25, a press conference on the occasion of the forthcoming launch of the telephone number portability services in mobile networks in the R. Moldova, scheduled for 1 July 2013.

The conference will be attended by the Minister of Information Technology and Communications, Mr. Pavel Filip, ANRCETI Director Mr. Sergiu Sitnic, other ANRCETI officials, the administrator of the centralized database for number portability and representatives of public mobile telephone service providers.

ANRCETI officials will present the benefits that number portability will offer to users, the impact of this service on the competition in the mobile market, the steps necessary in order to have a number ported to another network provider, whereas the representatives of mobile providers will demonstrate to the journalists the outcome of number porting of several numbers and will make calls by using the distinctive tone for ported numbers.

Representatives of media, of state and non-governmental entities, other interested stakeholders are welcome to attend the conference.

The event starts at 11.00 a.m. in the building of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, 4^th floor, Conference Room (134, Stefan cel Mare bd.).
