Today, a delegation from the Republic of Moldova is concluding its 5-day study tour in the Czech Republic. Sergiu Sitnic, Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI - www.anrceti.md), is one of the delegates. Moldovan specialists were invited to study the practices of co-operation between public authorities, private sector and non-governmental organizations in building the information society. The tour is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The delegation is headed by Dona Scola, Deputy Minister of Information Technologies and Communications. The other members are officials form the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications, representatives of the National ICT Private Companies Association and UNDP Project “Implementation of E-governance Component of the National Strategy “e-Moldova”. The members of the delegation were informed about the legal framework and experience of public-private partnerships in the ICT sector, practices of implementing the Strategy of Information Society Service Development, e-governance projects at national and municipal levels, service provision following the principle of “one-stop-shopping” (Czech Point).
Moldovan guests were also informed about the experience of their Czech colleagues in terms of collaboration between public authorities and non-governmental organizations in the ICT sector, visited the Czech Telecommunications Office – the national regulatory authority to acquaint themselves with the working practices of the regulator and its experience concerning cooperation with patronage associations in the ICT sector.
In Prague, the delegation also had meetings and discussions with the representatives of the Government Council for Information Society – part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Regional Development, Association for Information Society and ICT Alliance from the Czech Republic.
